The Basic Itinerary*
South Island, New ZealandNew Zealand is one of the most beautiful in the world. Its pristine natural beauty is perhaps only exceeded by the wonderful disposition of the local populace (they refer to themselves as Kiwis).
The skiing is incredible with plenty of fresh powder and the most picturesque skiing you will ever encounter. The challenge of creating our own Torah environment on the South Island presents a unique opportunity to deepen ones awareness of the commitment necessary to live as a Jew. Camp Kanfei Nesharim travels throughout the South Islandvisiting all five major ski resorts. There are also many other exciting activities throughhout the island.
AustraliaMelbourne: Our visit to Melbourne is a homecoming of sorts. After 2 and 1/2 weeks in our own self sustained Jewish environment it's a special treat to meet the Jewish community of Melbourne and reconnect with Jews around the world. The Kosher pizza is also great. Camp Kanfei Nesharim tours Melbourne and it's surroundings and spends a wonderful Shabbat hosted by the Melbourne Jewish community. This includes a shabbaton with Yeshiva H.S. students from Melbourne and the opportunity to make new friends from around the world.
SydneySydney is a stunning cosmopolitan city with many exciting places to explore. In addition to the city center, CKN visit's Bondi (the Jewish area), Bondi Beach, the Olympic Village and much more. Our city tour includes a boat ride on scenic Sydney harbor that provides fabulous views of the world famous Sydney Opera House. We also find time for some exciting Koala and Kangeroo encounters.
HawaiiWhat else has to be said....it's Hawaii! Shabbat is spent with Chabbad of Honolulu.
CaliforniaThe last few days of our journey are spent on the US mainland touring Los Angeles. We visit Venice Beach, The Simon Wiesenthal Center, Universal City Walk and other LA tourist sites.
