Dear Rabbi Scheinfeld,
Now that I’ve been home three weeks, I’ve had a chance to really review and think about my amazing summer at Kanfei. In my wildest dreams, I could never have imagined such an unbelievable summer-that a girl my age, living on a kibbutz-could experience such a thing. Naturally, my friends and family want to hear all about my summer. I have been unable to find the words to describe my feelings about those five weeks (was it really 5 weeks-it seemed like one!). The reason I can’t describe one thing as being the best is because it was a combination of everything put together that made Kanfei so incredible. Without one of the countries, without one of the counselors, without one staff member, without one of your divrei Torah, without one shiur, without one of the Thoughts Of The Day, without one of the shabatot, without the most amazing Tisha B’av I have ever had, without one ski day (believe it or not), without all the crazy adventures we had, without even one of the campers-it would not have been the same!!! By the way, just so you should know, the only reason I learned to ski is because of you-and to even enjoy it. You taught me with so much patience and even falling was fun and a learning experience. Maybe it seems to you and the staff, with all the trouble we sometimes caused, that we didn’t appreciate you and the staff. However, I (and I’m sure the others agree) appreciate everything you all did for us very much. Once again, thank you all, for an indescribable summer that I will carry in my heart my whole life. How are you? How was the rest of your summer?
I wanted to thank you for giving me the opportunity of going on this amazing camp and having an incredible summer!!! I can't thank you enough!! The stuff that i came out with from the camp-if it was meeting new people,learning new things or just having the greatest time! I really had the best time...thank you for helping me how to ski :). I made lots of new friends which i keep in touch with them and will see them when they come to israel. the counslers were amazing!! If it wasnt for Kanfei,i would have never BUNGEE JUMPED (!!). I overcame my fear of heights and it felt amazing!! Before Kanfei, I could only dream of being in the most amazing and beautiful countries like-NZ AUS AND HAWAII. I just wanted to take a minute to thank you again for putting together such an amazing experience for our children. Watching the video gave me chills. It is truly something special to see a group of frum kids travel throughout the world and making a kiddush Hashem wherever they go. It is an experience that will stay with them forever. Please feel free to use us as a raving recomendation for Kanfei to anybody that you would like. A big yasher koach again. Have a happy Thanksgiving and a Frelicha Chanuka. Hiiii Rabbi Schienfeld!!!!!
We would like to start off this email by telling you how thankful we are of what you gave us this summer. Not only did you give us a summer that is to be unforgotten but you have given us a different aspect on life. With Rosh Hashanna approaching, all that is on our minds is to call everyone up that went on kanfei and ask for mechilla and see how they are doing. Kanfei has opened a new door in our lives. Kanfei has made us spiritual, open minded, thankful, eager, happy, nice, studious young jewish women. Kanfei has changed us in the most positive ways. We have learned sooo many things from sooo many people including counslers. When people tell us they had an amazing summer, we look them in the eye and tell them "NO, we had an amazing summer" because the people who "think" they had an amazing summer really dont know what an amaznig summer is. We really hope you continue Kanfei on forever and ever so everyone can grow from this experience like we did. We REALLY have "experienced our imagination!!" With all of this said, We really wish you a meaningful and amazing rosh hashanna. May you have a healthy, happy and spiritual year. Thank you for everything you have given us. Just want to start off by thanking you for the best summer of my life! From the second I got to the airport I realized I made the rite desicion by choosing kanfei. I could not have asked for a better group of kids. I made friendships that will hopefully last forever. I know you must have heard this a hundred times but you really picked THE BEST staff imaginable! Each counsler contributed so much to the ruach of the camp and really enhanced our summer so much! I was able to connect to the counslers rite away and now that the summer is over I still keep in touch with them,and I made an extremely close relationship with a couple of the counslers that now I would just consider them as one of my friends.
Along with the summer being so much fun I also think it made me open my eyes and appreciate things I would have never even opened my eyes to. Kanfei really made me grow as a person internally,and my family and friends were even able to tell. Also even though you were not so happy with our davening this summer,ironically I really think that my davening grew tremendously this summer and in that way kanfei also had an effect on me spiritually.
Rabbi- I can't thank you enough for all the hard scheduling, planning and your devotion and dedication that you gave in order to
make all our dream reality! From the second my parents picked me up from the airport I started to cry. I thought back on all the amazing times we all shared. I'm really going to miss camp soo much(even our shiurim). So thank you
again! All the memories and friendships I made this summer will stay with me
for the rest of my life!

I was counselor on kanfei 2001. It was probably the most inspiring thing I have ever done and all the other counselors and I connected with every one of the campers and I feel like they are part of my family... i just am a little upset that the camp is only 5 1/2 weeks long it should be longer.. the camp was great and I can't wait to come back next year!"

Hey everyone who went on Kanfei 2000, I miss you all so much!! For everyone who is going this summer you are going to have an awesome time! It was the most amazing experience of my life and I met some really cool people (props to Lauren, Leah, Ilana, Sara, Yosef, Yoni, Zo,& Jeff). Enjoy the excellent skiing, Hawaii, and go bungee jumping!!!!! Rabbi Scheinfeld,we are all coming back as counselors!"

Hey guyz! Kanfei 2000 was amazing! Rabbi, You're going to have a tough time topping it this year! I met awesome people (yay nesher bet!) and the skiing was great!! (Hawaii wasn't half bad either!) We're all coming back as counselors in a few years so save us a spot! Have a great summer!!!

Hey everyone, Kanfei Rocked!!!!! To all those going this summer, it's the experience of your life. DO THE BUNGEE JUMPING!!!! Remember to bring sweatpants, you don't think u need it but they are essential...What an excursion. Have a rocking time!!!

Hi Rabbi, this was the best summer I have ever had. I traveled much of the world in 5 weeks. I met new people and made new friends. I want to say thank you for the best trip ever.
